DAY 4: NUMBERS

“The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

Dear Christian,

The Lord loves to bless and keep his people. 

The Bible is a story of God making promises to His people. And though the people often forget and distrust God, God does not forget. 

Story after story, we see God’s people spiral out of control. We take matters into our own hands. We ignore God altogether. We put our faith and security on created things rather than the Creator.

In all our attempts to thwart God’s plans and promises. He still holds us fast. He fulfills His promises in spite of us not fulfilling ours. And the Bible says it’s because He loves us. 

Though my sin is great, though it threatens to separate me from God forever, my Savior is even greater. Jesus has taken away our curse and has bestowed on us his righteousness so we can live in communion with the Father forever.

He will bless us and keep us until the end.

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.” (John 10:27-29)
